Susan Chapman-Schultz

The meeting was called to order at 9:37AM.

Having no public comment on the agenda, Matt Jones mentioned that there had been previous updates to the Methods of Administration (MOA) and the committee had been provided those changes prior to the last meeting.  Next, the September 29th, 2020, meeting minutes were reviewed and briefly discussed.  Matt noted that there was an error regarding the OSO Operator due date and it would be corrected.  Susan Chapman-Schultz made a motion to approve and it was seconded by Lisa Atkins.  The minutes were unanimously approved and the next item on the agenda was the workNet Center Update.  Matt reported that the MOU was due 6/30 and that the initial budget should be provided by IDES soon.  Also, the Belleville One-Stop is still closed to the public although the Workforce Development Group staff and half of the IDES staff have been working daily in the building.  The One-Stop is still on schedule to move to the new facility at 7650 Magna Drive by March 1st and there have been initial discussions and steps taken to prepare for the upcoming move.  After a very brief discussion about cost allocations, one-stop certification and ADA equipment, Matt concluded the report by informing the committee that the new Resource Room Navigator started on January 25th.  The position was filled by Rachelle Perkins and will be funded by the Service Integration Grant.

Wrapping up the discussion, all of the partners discussed services and challenges due to COVID-19 and after a reminder that the MAWIB Zoom meeting will be held on February 11th @ 8:30AM, the meeting was officially adjourned at 10:02AM
